Content marketing is undeniably one of the most effective ways to increase awareness of your brand, products, and services, but results are not instant. There is enormous competition for eyes and engagement on these platforms, and you need to be patient and consistent with posting, and monitor results closely enough to tweak your outreach along the way. Most experts recommend committing to at least six months of dedicated social seeding. We agree with this—it takes time to grow a following, and it’s much harder than it was in the early days of social media.

Also remember, it’s very difficult to track a sale back to a particular social media effort, unless you are diligent about applying promo codes, tracking links, or custom phone numbers. The content marketing effort will, however, result in an overall trend of increased traffic flow and, ideally, sales.

What do you get?

Well, that depends largely on your goals, budget, and audience. It also depends on what you’ve got to work with already. These are the main options:

Channel Optimization

This is required, regardless of whatever else we decide to do.

We will ensure your profiles are current and accurate, and relevant to your target audience.

  • We will update the header graphics and avatars as necessary.

  • We will implement any SEO available to ensure

  • Your channels will have a consistent look to enforce branding.

  • If you haven’t set up a Google Business profile, we will do so and highly recommend it. It helps with organic search and SEO.

  • If you haven’t claimed your business on Yelp, and it’s appropriate to do so, we highly recommend it. Yelp is extremely effective for local businesses and is another platform to highlight what you do to potential customers.

 

Editorial calendar

This is required – it’s how we all keep track of what is going to be posted, and gives everyone time to review and update if necessary.

  • We research topics and keywords relative to your market to create a suggested editorial calendar monthly.

  • You will have editorial veto power and plenty of time to review if you choose to do so.

  • These are prepared roughly a month in advance but are always flexible to accommodate unexpected posts.

 

Graphic posts

Engaging promotional graphics to promote your business, products, and services. This includes related text and hashtags.

 

Videos

Videos to use as organic posts or advertisements. Videos over 2 minutes also include shorter promo clips for various deployments.

 

Posting

We will post to your channels using optimal timing strategies

  • Recommend at least 4 weekly posts

  • Recommend at least 4 posts per day on Twitter

  • Relevant and timely updates for promos and specials when applicable

 

Email

Professionally designed email showcasing your latest blog post, newsletter, or other product or service to your prospect list via your email marketing software.

  • Frequency is dependent on your list, and what kind of content you want to share. For example, a weekly promotion would merit a weekly email, but a monthly newsletter can be a great way to share a lot of value content all at once.

  • There are also channels to procure purchased lists, but we cannot guarantee accurracy.

 

Blogs

Writing and developing original, high-value content, uploaded to your website with optimized SEO. This includes unique images for each post designed around your brand and the content of the article.

  • We can also upload each blog post to LinkedIn Publisher and share it with up to three appropriate LinkedIn groups your page is a member of.

  • Optional UTM links for tracking

 

Analytics

  • A a bi-monthly report of the results of social outreach and suggested edits.

  • Installation of Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insight tag, Facebook pixel, and any other relevant tracking code that should be placed on your website for accurate accounting.


What you provide

The most important thing we need from you is your brain. We will work together to determine your message, but any supporting documents you already have will help immensely as we find your voice. You are the expert in your field, not us, and what we can produce is heavily dependent on what you share.

Before we go further, we will have a phone call to discuss your goals, your preferences, resources, among other things. We will all be on the same page before things get started.  

So, what does it cost?

Pricing is very dependent on the kinds of content we need to produce — videos and writing are more intensive to produce than graphics. You are invoiced monthly based on what we agree on, and you can modify the output on a monthly basis. For example, if you have a special event or want to heavily promote a product launch we can adjust upward, or if business is traditionally slow during the holidays, we can go to a minimal schedule.

We will put together a formal proposal after we talk, but we can tell you that some clients spend $500 for some basic social marketing, while others spend upwards of $5,000 for content and advertising costs. No doubt we can agree on an effective strategy that fits in your budget.
